Dream Alchemy Digital Art

J.L. Gerome painted The Slave Market in 1866.

This piece was inspired from his painting, in the center of this court, the slaves are exposed for sale and in general, to the number of thirty or forty ... portraying the essence of dejection and sorrow of Barbarian slaves chained and shackled while they wait to be sold.
Women slaves would be used as hairdressers, dressmakers, cooks and servants for rich women. Other slaves worked in small workshops making leather or silver goods or pots and pans.
